Glaucous Gull Larus hyperboreus (Gunnerus, 1767)

Adult , Grundarfjordur, Iceland © Nigel Milbourne 2008.

  1. One, 2nd-winter, 16th March 1995 (A.H. Davis).

The only bird recorded was noted in a field at the bottom of Park Lane, Blagdon, close to the lake. It may have washed after feeding, as gulls usually do, even if it subsequently flew off to Chew to roost.
