Records at Blagdon Lake: There have been a handful of records at the lake in most years since the beginning of the century.
Record information:
Status: Fairly common, passage migrant & winter visitor. May occur between September & April.
Breeding: There are no recent breeding records at the lake.
Migration:
Moult & plumage:
Blagdon Lake: May occur during the Spring and Autumn migration periods. Typically, they will drop into meadows such as Green Lawn and Bell’s Bush during passage, but if the water level drops, flocks often gather and feed on the exposed lake bed.
