Note 1: There is some confusion over this record because Somerset Birds 1961 states “Three (1 male), BL”, while the Bristol Bird report 1961 states “Pair and single male, BL”.

Note 2: This bird was noted on six dates at BL between these dates and was assumed to be flying to BL and CVL when disturbed from Cheddar Res. by sailing activities.

Note 3: These records are taken from Birds at Blagdon Lake 1963-1983 (Davis, A.H.) but are not given in the respective annual reports where these have been consulted. I do not have some of the early ABR in my reference library.
