Note 1. In 1923, Donald Carr wrote “on September 28th, a Shag visited the Lake, obviously a wounded bird, as one of my assistants picked it up on the shore, it died a few days afterwards. The last record is about 20 years ago, that specimen is preserved.” This suggests that the record would have been circa 1903, rather than 1913.
