Eurasian Wigeon Mareca penelope (Linnaeus, 1758)

Fairly common, passage migrant & winter visitor. Usually August to April but may occur in any month.

The record count of 2360 was made on 1st February 1987, during a decade when several counts of over 1000 were made.
